Clinical Placement Checklist

Step 1: About 2 Months Before Placement

    • Bring your Medical Form to be signed and stamped.

    • Confirm your immunizations and get bloodwork (Hep B, MMR, Varicella) if needed.

    • If your TB skin test is positive, include a chest X-ray + doctor’s note saying you are free of TB.

    • Renew every term if something expires.

    • Apply online through your local police service.

    • Must be valid for the entire placement.

    • Renew yearly.

  • You must show proof of:

    • Hepatitis B (lab titre)

    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)

    • Varicella (Chickenpox)

    • Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis

    • Polio

    • Flu shot (current season)

    • Renew yearly.​

    • Required: Baseline two-step test (done once).

    • If negative → one-step yearly.

    • If positive → chest X-ray every 2 years + yearly doctor’s note saying "you’re free of signs and symptoms of active TB"

    • Include in form: Chest X-ray report + doctor’s note if positive.

    • Get your shot in October–November each year.

    • Required to stay in placement during outbreaks.

    • Renew Yearly.
